Tangent Oil Recovery System

Tangent Oil Recovery System

The Tangent Oil Recovery System (TORS) unit will be built for order. This system is based on extended contact, low agitation washing of non soluble solids. Based on the wash system used by Thaishell in 1998 and 1999, in LanKrabu Thailand, the system is capable of removing and recovering hydrocarbons from non soluble solids such as sand, laterite, and gravel. This system is designed to do a minimum of 300m³ of solids per day; with the use of available bio chemistry the TORS is capable of removing 100% of associated hydrocarbon from non soluble solids. The draw back to any wash system is if clay or soluble shale are introduced, this will create the need for a dewatering process as well, so the sand wash system would be dedicated to only non soluble solids such as the heavy carbons and sands associated with oil production. Any clay that has come into contact and needs to be processed will be handled through the METS System and bio remediated.
